I have participated and enjoyed art my entire life. I have taken numerous art courses over the years, in Cambridge, at the Art Gallery of Burlington, DVSA, and attended Haliburton School of the Arts for 12 summers. I have worked in watercolors, oils, acrylics, paper collage, pen and ink, encaustic, and clay. For five years I painted and sold wild and funky chairs, garden pots and floorcloths. I also enjoy painting intuitively with acrylic paints. I love the Impressionist style and often employ that in my paintings.

Most recently, in 2014, I became obsessed with paper collage after taking an exciting workshop.  I quickly learned how to print and texturize papers. Then I started to “Paint with Paper”. In this type of “painting”, I cut, tear, layer and apply a variety of hand painted papers, tissue and imported papers to a gallery styled canvas. My work displays my fondness for whimsy, vibrant colours, lively patterns and unexpected textures Abstracts, florals and trees are among my favourite subjects.
